Fruit and Veggie Kid

Fruits and Veggies.....sometimes are two of the most dreaded words to kids. What is the secret to making sure that your child gets enough? What if your child is a picky eater?

Thankfully, I was one of the lucky parents and my little one loved fruit and veggies. I do however think more than luck played into it. My husband and I love veggies and I think that modeling good eating habits made it easier when it came to helping my daughter develop good eating habits as well. Did we ever hide or sneak fruits and veggies into our little one's diet. Well... depends on what you call sneak! LOL We used fruit as a treat or dessert making it a fun food. We also used playful tactics such as identifying our veggies with their matching Veggie Tales characters.

The Jesus Book by Stephen Elkins, Illustrated by Claudine Gevry

I received a copy of The Jesus Book from Thomas Nelson Publishers. The Jesus Book is a Children's book answering many questions regarding the life and ministry of Jesus. As parents we know our little ones ask a lot of questions and this book is a great resource to answer the questions they have about Jesus. This book's reading level is for children ages 4-8 but I believe children of all ages and even adults will enjoy it.

I have linked a copy to the sample flip pages above so you can see for yourself. The layout of this book is absolutely wonderful. Each section is labled and each page begins with the fact being addressed and includes background Bible verse reference information for further study. The illustrations are beautiful and assist with explaining the information to children. The author presents the information beautifully and ends the book with the plan of salvation which is wonderful for children who may be ready to make a profession of faith.

I would definitely recommend this product to others. Even though it is a children's book I enjoyed the facts and information as well as the timelines and maps included. This book also included a CD which has 30 songs about Jesus performed by children. This book would make a great gift for any family with Children.
